Top 6 Fall Movies to Watch and Why

Rory Cloward, Entertainment

During the fall season, especially this one, watching movies is a great way of passing time. But, what better way to watch a movie, than to watch ones that fit this autumn. After reading this, and dedicating my time to watch these movies, you will know what movies to watch.

Starting off the list, we have “When Harry Met Sally,” by Rob Reiner. From reviews, people say it is the best rom-com out there and perfectly illustrates the true essence of fall. This movie will make you want to go out and take a walk around perfectly aged leaves as they fall off the stems, with that special someone.

Moving on, the next movie is, “First Cow,” directed by Kelly Reichardt. Doesn’t seem like a autumn inspired movie? But, that where you’re wrong. The whole movie shows the scenery of the forest, of the Pacific Northwest. It truly shows the beautiful landscape of the leaves doing their beautiful, natural work. Who doesn’t want to watch a movie with some of the most beautiful scenery?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Even though this halloween has passed, the spooky feelings haven’t, so this next movie, “Halloween,” by Rob Zombie, is about a man who kills his family and is put into jail and after years of being locked away. But, he escapes and comes home. Watch this scary movie and find the rest out. This movie will most definitely bring back some of the Halloweeny feelings.

Moving on to our next movie, a personal favorite, “Beauty and the Beast,” by Bill Codon. Hear me out, I know this isn’t a fall movie, but watching this movie with a warm drink and a blanket will, put you in the perfect mood to celebrate the holidays with your loved ones. It shows action, love, and some fun songs. It also teaches some great lessons, for everyone.

If you are looking for a great movie that’ll make you cry, this is the one for you. “My Girl,” by Howard Zieff, is about two kids who are the best of friends, but a tragic event occurs and leaves the whole audience with tears in their eyes. But, it is a very sweet movie full of love, friendship, and more. It really makes you appreciate the ones around you.

Those are some of the top 6 fall movies to watch and why. Happy Holidays!
